Beginner Acrylic Painting Classes

Always wanted to paint but didn’t know where to start? You’re in the right place.

These beginner acrylic painting classes are designed for anyone who’s curious about painting — no experience needed. We’ll take things step by step, focusing on simple techniques, color mixing, brush control, and learning how to see shapes and light without pressure or perfection.

You’ll learn:

  • How to work with acrylic paint confidently
  • Basic brush techniques and layering
  • Color mixing made easy
  • How to loosen up and enjoy the process
  • How to start and finish a painting without feeling stuck

My approach is relaxed, encouraging, and hands-on. I’ve been painting since I could hold a brush, and I love helping beginners realize they’re more creative than they think. These sessions are about learning, experimenting, and having fun — not being “perfect.”

Whether this is your very first time painting or you’re picking it back up after years away, you’ll leave with new skills, confidence, and a finished piece you’ll be proud of.

About the Artist

I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, and nothing makes me happier than taking someone’s idea and turning it into something they can feel. My very first paid art job was back in 1991, painting Easter bunnies eating slices of pizza for Vito’s Pizzeria — and honestly, that moment lit the spark. I realized I could create something fun, something imaginative, and make people smile through paint.

Over the years, that spark grew into a full artistic journey. I’ve developed my own style through experimentation, exploration, and a whole lot of evolution — blending bold color work, expressive textures, and a sense of movement that keeps my pieces alive. Every chapter of my life has shaped my technique, from early whimsical projects to the more refined, gallery-focused pieces I create today.

I’ve been commissioned to paint throughout the Eastern United States — NY, NJ, PA, CT, NC, SC, GA, and Florida — each project helping me expand my range, sharpen my craft, and discover new ways to tell a story on metal or canvas.

Creating art is still my favorite way to connect with people, and I’m excited to share this next chapter of my work with a more curated, gallery-focused vision.
